Terms
Terms of service.
Heads up: This is a plain-English summary; it isn't legal advice.
About these terms
These terms cover using gridandgigabit.com and working with Grid & Gigabit (“we,” “us”) on websites, care plans, network installs and managed networks. Using the site or hiring us means you agree to them. If your project has its own written agreement or quote, that document controls wherever it differs from these terms.
Website builds
- One-time price. Website builds are a one-time build price: Starter $349 (1 page), Standard $649 (up to 5 pages), Growth $1,199 (up to 10 pages). Add-ons are priced individually as listed on the site, for example an extra page at $99 or logo design at $249. Rush delivery is +25%.
- Mockup first. Every website starts with a custom-designed mockup of your homepage, so you can react to a real design before the full build begins. We refine the mockup with you using your feedback, then build the full site, test it on every screen and launch it.
- Two rounds of revisions. Website projects include two rounds of revisions. A round is one consolidated batch of feedback, for example one round on the design and one on the built site. Further revisions and other changes in scope, such as new features, are billed at the hourly rate. Additional pages are billed at the $99-per-page add-on price.
- You own your site. Ownership of the finished site transfers to you once the project is paid in full. Domains and any business-email licenses are billed at cost.
- Your content. You’re responsible for having the rights to the text, photos, logos and other material you give us to use on your site.
Care plans and managed network plans
- Website care plans are optional and monthly: Basic $29/mo (hosting and SSL, security and uptime monitoring, 30 minutes of edits a month), Plus $59/mo (everything in Basic, plus 1 hour of edits a month, monthly backups and a report, and Google Business Profile updates), and Pro $129/mo (everything in Plus, plus 3 hours of edits a month, priority support and a quarterly SEO and content refresh). Pay yearly and get 12 months for the price of 10.
- Managed network plans are Basic $49 or Plus $99, per site per month.
- Edit time. The edit time included in care and managed plans resets each month. Unused time doesn’t roll over to the next month.
- Month to month. Monthly plans run month to month. You can cancel anytime, and cancelling stops future billing.
- Yearly prepay refunds. If you pay yearly (12 months for the price of 10), you can get a full refund within 30 days of payment. After 30 days, we refund the unused full months, minus the discount you received for prepaying, so you pay the same as the monthly rate for the months you used. For example, on Plus ($590 for the year), if you cancel after 4 months you pay 4 × $59 = $236 and we refund $354.
Network installs
- Walk-through first. Network projects start with a free, on-site Wi-Fi walk-through. Every space is different, so you get a final quote after the walk-through.
- Pricing. A written network design is $149 and is credited toward your install. A Network Starter install starts at $399 for labor, additional access points are $99 each, and on-site help is billed hourly at $109/hr.
- Hardware is separate. Hardware isn’t included in labor prices. It’s billed at cost/list, as shown on your quote.
- Equipment and service area. Networks are built on the Ubiquiti UniFi platform (Wi-Fi access points, switching and gateways, with cameras as an option). Network work is local to Ventura, Santa Barbara and Greater Los Angeles counties.
- Things outside our control. Your internet service provider and the hardware manufacturer’s own warranty and support are outside our control.
Using this website
Information on this site, including prices, is provided for general information and may change. The price that applies to your project is the one we agree on with you for that project. Ubiquiti and UniFi are trademarks of Ubiquiti Inc. Grid & Gigabit is an independent business.
Limitation of liability
We do careful work, and if something we did isn’t right, tell us and we’ll work with you to fix it. To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption, including losses from outages at your internet provider, host or other third-party services.
- Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service the claim relates to in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can’t be limited under California law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Changes don’t affect work you’ve already agreed to in writing.
